Dean Announces Honor Roll Coverage of fall semester honors and lists

Dean Walter Rundell announces the fall honor roll led by Jane Davis and Bula Pearl Flynt each with 51 points. The dean's list includes Shirley Hallam 48 Joyce Reynolds 47 Myra Beth Wilson 47 and many others with 45 to 39 points. Honorable mention covers part time students with A grades, including several who earned A's in multiple courses and single course achievers.

Spring Enrollment Seen High at Lee College

Lee College reports spring enrollment at 642 at week’s end with late registrations expected to push the total to 685. The 1953 spring total was 652, while the peak spring enrollment was 680 in 1951.

Senior Day draws 200 plus from nine area high schools

More than two hundred students visited Lee College on Senior Day February 3. They registered in the library, toured the main building with REB members, attended the Lee College vs South Texas game in the SC gym, then joined an after game party hosted by the Student Council. The guest list includes seniors from Barbers Hill High School Cedar Bayou High School Crosby High School Dayton High School Deer Park High School and other districts with numerous attendees such as Shirley Cuzzort Edna Jean Hurst Lee LeBouf Dorothy Seal Robert Serres Wanda Faye Settle Dorothy Wagner Petra Nell Walker Alma Louise Warner Bobby Williams and many more.

High School Art On Display At Lee College Gallery

High school students may exhibit art at the Lee College Gallery from February 22 to 26 with prizes for first to third in each medium. Hours for receipt and viewing are limited to specific mornings and afternoon slots, oils and water colors must be framed, and works must be student originals under Miss Minnie Alice Robertson.
