The Wesleyan Foundation plans a party after the basketball game on December 18 with refreshments. A ballot in this issue invites readers to nominate candidates for Prominent Persons in 57 by January 21. Semester exam period begins January 21 and classes end December 19 before vacation.
Students may nominate for the Prominent Persons section by filling signing and dropping ballots before 7 00 p m Wednesday December 19 in the main corridor. A staff appointed committee will decide final designations based on nominations records and campus activity.
Dean Walter Rundell announced the first term honor roll for full time students with GPA 2.6 or higher. Named are Julia Ann Bonner, William Carrigan Britt, John William Chandler, Delbert Derrett, Jack Rudd Hopper, Joe Acker Laughlin, Joan Kay McAlvany, Gwendolyn Morris, Billy James Parker, Marjorie Lynn Smolens, Cecil Underwood, David R. Vanover, Barbara Grace Young, and Ernest Henson Walley who earned four A’s. Others making three A’s include Jewell S. Fuller, Robert Leonard Gregory, Mary M. Miller, Virginia Hess Tyler. Two course students with A’s on both subjects listed Billie Jean Bramlett, Volu Kent Carroll. (Continued on Page 3).

Dean Walter Rundell with Lee’s President George Gentry and Registrar Dr. David Norton attended the Southern Association annual meeting in Dallas December 3-6. The theme was Higher Education in Expanding Economy as members discussed funding and faculty needs through 1970. Weatherford Junior College Pan American College and Wayland College were admitted to membership. Rundell serves on the Commission on Colleges and Universities.
