Dr J T Horeczy, Humble Oil fellow, joined the Texas Academy of Science honor banquet in Fort Worth December 2. Ruby Roesler returns from surgery. Ruby Griffin filled her post. Xina Stone recovers from a July 7 car accident and plans to resume her Cedar Bayou Junior High choir duties after Christmas.

Kirley Appointed New LOG Business Manager

Bob Kirkley named Business Manager of the 1961 Lee LOG replacing Linda Mills who resigned. Advertising sales to staff, aiming for $600 to enlarge the book and add color while shipments of the first sixty pages went to Taylor Publishing on December 1 and club pages prepare for upcoming release. Deadline March 1 requires all pages including personality and activity pages. The 1961 LOG theme is a circus with Linda Booth designing a four color cover and Ringling Brothers circus photo as end sheet.

Votes are being tabulated in the South Carolina Who's Who ballot race. Results of the Lee LOG personalities election will be announced shortly. Students voted Monday and Tuesday on their choices.

Students Organize Science Seminar at Lee College

A science seminar for Lee College students organized on December 1 with Dr J T Richardson as advisor and Alvin Miles as sponsor. The first seminar on The Philosophy of Science will be held January 9 at the college. The group aims to provoke interest in the sciences with an adult speaker guiding each meeting. Members include Steve Coburn and Darrell Kley.
