Rabbi Lubasch to Give Talks at LJC
Dr. Lothar Lubasch of the Jewish Chautauqua Society and Rodef Shalom Temple Port Arthur will speak twice at LJC in study halls Monday and Tuesday nights. He will address sociology on Judaism and Contemporary Affairs on the Palestine Question with open forum discussions for all students. Born in Germany, Lubasch came to the United States in 1948 after studying at Berlin Hamburg and Erlangen and the Reform Jewish Theological Seminary.

Questionnaires Now Available for Summer School
Dean Walter Rundell announced that summer school questionnaires must be returned to the college office by Friday April 8. Students considering attendance should complete a form to aid course scheduling. Summer term runs June 6 to July 15 and July 18 to August 26. Courses need at least 10 students. classes meet daily for hour and a half. Students may earn up to seven semester hours in six weeks.

ThePhi Theta Kappa party in the Gym on Saturday night March 26 featured a Duck Dunn auctioneer led sale with box lunches sold and enjoyed. A Benny Moskowitz Joe Don Dollar skit Casey at the Bat and an LJC Choir act The Man on the Flying Trapeze were part of the program along with Carver School students’ Shrine winning musical comedy. Bill Harrop won the cake walk while Geraldine Browns box lunch would have won first in any popularity contest. Alice Sparks will represent the LJC Chapter at the National Convention in Bluefield West Virginia March 31 to April 2.
