Roberta Wright kissed the pig to win the dubious honor at the second annual Spring Fling and Kiss a Pig contest sponsored by Student Congress. The event included water balloon tosses jello wrestling and an ugly man contest. Students and faculty enjoyed hamburgers and other goodies while LC jazz band and area musicians performed.
Baytown residents cherish classic vehicles as the Bayshore Fine Rides Club reunites members from Baytown and nearby areas. Since 1987 the club has grown to over 70 members with hangouts, car shows, parades, and cruise nights across the Houston area. Members range from teens to seniors, many restoring or driving 1930 Model A to 1960s Mustangs and early Corvettes. The group funds activities by selling club gear and swap meet profits and donates surplus money to local families at Christmas. Contact Crawford at 422-7610 to join.
