Summer session dates shift at Lee College
The first summer term at Lee College will begin June 3 replacing May 22. Dean Ed Monk says the change helps high school seniors who may not graduate in time. Board of Regents requested the adjustment to reduce registration conflicts with classroom time. Early registration runs April 29 to May 1. regular hours May 30 through May 30. Final exams for first semester are scheduled for July 2 and 3.

Lee College Managment Department students won eight awards at the Delta Epsilon Chi conference in Corpus Christi with six qualifiers for nationals. Winners span General Merchandise Retailing, Apparel and Accessories Marketing, General Marketing, Finance and Credit Marketing, Management Decision Making Merchandising, Small Business Management, and Sales Manager Meeting. A survey of 199 Lee College students in Moser Hall shows 164 feel textbook prices burden education expenses while 177 say library copies would help. Seventy three percent would use the texts if placed in the library, and 143 answered yes to all three questions.
