Mountaintop Productions staged Camp Logan by Celeste Bedford Walker on March 1 in Rundell Hall. Baytown Mayor Alfaro issued a proclamation making March 1 Camp Logan Day as the all black 24th Infantry in 1917 faced prejudice, riots, and a deadly confrontation resulting in 20 civilian deaths and 13 soldiers executed.

Lee College weighs student fee for new computers
LC President Jackson Sasser says a $5 to $10 per semester fee could be added to tuition to fund updated computer equipment. LC offers first time process operations training course TPYH 1401
Lee College will run an afternoon and an evening section of Technical Physics for Operations TPYH 1401 starting March 21 and April 4 respectively as it expands a process technology program. The college has state approval for a certificates and an associate degree in instrumentation technology with a process technology specialty and plans summer course offerings.

Bulletin: Education Center Director Collapses in Hall
Liz Grimsley director of instructional media center collapsed in Rundell Hall at about 10 a.m. Wednesday and was taken by ambulance to Bay Coast Hospital. She was released shortly afterward, a hospital spokesman said.

Safari Party Becomes Spring Fling Theme After Debate
Safari Party replaced Jungle Fever 94 as the Spring Fling theme after Student Congress members voiced concerns over racial connotations. Robbin Summers, chairperson, says no events were canceled and all planned acts including Tarzan and Jane look alike contest and alligator egg toss will proceed. The fundraiser is set for March 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Moler Hall patio.
