Kangaroo protest spurs campus demonstration at Lee College
Lee College instructor Roger Whitcomb led a campus event in Moler Hall calling attention to the slaughter of kangaroos in Australia. The Jan 24 protest aligned with global actions near Australian consulates, opposed by Whitcomb who urged support for bill H.R. 2952 to ban imports of kangaroo meat and skins.

Townshend and Daltrey Chart Solo Albums From The Who
The Who's Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey each release solo projects on the charts. Townshend's White City is a multi-genre political work about South Africa's White City estate, while Daltrey's Under a Raging Moon gathers love and aging themes with familiar collaborators. Townshend crafts diverse, moving music. Daltrey's set leans more uniform but accessible, showing the group's enduring influence in America.
