Lee College Instructor Leads $220,000 NSF Grant Project
Tom O'Kuma, a physics instructor in his second year at Lee College, will head a two year effort funded by a $220,000 National Science Foundation grant to enhance Texas junior college physics teaching. The program aims to reduce isolation among instructors by enabling idea exchange, up to date information, lectures, and computer teaching tools with collaborators including Dr. Robert Clark of Texas A&M and others.

New vocational dean embraces challenge at Lee College

Counselor Dana Woods Joins Lee College Staff This Spring
Dana Woods joins Lee College as a full time counselor at the Gertrude Teter Counseling Center, bringing the staff to six. A Springdale Arkansas native, she graduated from John Brown University with a psychology degree and sociology minor, earned a master’s in counseling at the University of Arkansas, and previously worked as a social worker and complaint investigator for the Arkansas Department of Human Services. Woods cites an open door policy, aims to serve students, grow professionally, and pursue a doctorate in education.
