Insurance College adopts campus accident plan at LC
Lee College changes campus accident policy and introduces a low cost insurance package for students. Emergency care remains student responsibility. ambulance and ER costs are borne by the student. Six students have enrolled so far. brochures are in Rundell Hall and the Business Office.

Regents Seek Bids On LC Land Near I 10 For Sale Or Trade
Regents agreed to accept bids for sale or trade of about 125 acres of LC land near Interstate 10 and North Main. The sale aims to fund a major LC library expansion and perhaps acquire a new site within the LC district. Regents also approved purchasing 30 desktop computers for a student lab, gaining a slight cost advantage from a quantity discount. A five year contract for President Robert Cloud was approved, raising his salary to 68,800 per year plus a 2,000 annuity. The board expressed sorrow at the death of Joseph C. Thompson, who helped pioneer multimedia instruction at LC.

Former U S Senator Fred Harris will appear as LC Lyceum speaker at 11 a.m. February 23 in Rundell Hall Auditorium I. The free program features Harris, author of Americas Democracy, a government text used at LC and many colleges.
