Pageant set for March at Robert E. Lee auditorium
Miss Baytown Lee College Scholarship Pageant scheduled for 7 30 p m March 17 in the Robert E Lee auditorium. Contestants from LC and Baytown school district compete in swimsuit evening gown and talent categories for a minimum $1 000 scholarship plus a crown scepter trophy wardrobe and a trip to the Miss Texas Pageant. First runner up receives 550 second 400 third 250 and a judge's special award winner gets 150.

European tour plans by Lee College Jazz Ensemble and Leisure Singers
The Lee College Jazz Ensemble and Leisure Singers plan a May 10 to 31 European tour including London Harwich England Amsterdam Bruges Heidelberg Dachau Munich Luzerne Neuchatel Dijon and Paris with concerts in London Amsterdam Bruges Munich Neuchatel and Paris. Funds are being raised via a March 18 Country Music Festival featuring Kenny Price Moe Bandy Charlie Walker Juston Tubb and Bill Anderson Show plus an aluminum can drive bake sales discotheque dances a flea market a jazz festival and a concert. If successful, Corder hopes to tour Europe again next year or Bermuda.

SG Plans for Spring Semester and Alumni Week
The Lee College Student Government announces events for spring including Alumni Week February 5 to 10. Members will hand out bumper stickers and drive honored guests. An Alumni dance is February 10 at 9 p.m. Knights of Columbus Hall. A District 214A swim meet is planned February 15 to 16. St Patrick’s Day dance is March 16. SG president and VP election slated March 21 or 22. March 28 is SG film night with Smokey and the Bandit as a candidate. A banquet for junior and senior SG officers of local high schools is April 19.
