Regents Hear Harassment Charges At Hearing At LC
The Lee College Board of Regents weighs a Dec. 1 plan by President Sasser to fire personnel director Jim Hickman for sexual harassment. Hickman denied the claims at an open hearing where secretary Jennifer Gore testified, while Hickman seeks defamation action. The board met past 1 a.m. in executive session to review the findings and may reconvene Dec. 15 as due process is emphasized. Interim officer Mike Clawson serves during Hickman’s suspension.

ADN level three nursing students hosted a clinical seminar day at 711 Texas Ave in McNulty Haddick Complex. Twenty six students presented every 15 minutes on reproductive health topics to healthcare professionals and the public, with resources provided for pregnancy care, HIV, perinatal health, and related issues.

Lee College clubs organize food toy drives for the Bay Area Women's Center. Gifts and cash are welcomed with unwrapped items for all ages. Last year 148 children's books were donated.
