Judge Wilson, counsel for Admiral Schley, died suddenly of acute indigestion at the Steebam hotel in Washington. The court of inquiry adjourned as testimony had just begun and would resume tomorrow. Schley expressed shock at the loss, with witnesses reportedly prepared to testify on his knowledge of the Cienfuegos situation.
Sept 35 Washington reports the Schley court of inquiry resuming with Led by Raynor and Parker. A Texas engine testimony and dispatchs are read. Booker T. Washington at Tuskegee questions if Czolgosz acted alone and urges national unity to curb lynching and ensure fair trials for suspects.
Special to Greenville News reports L. W. C. Blalock of Newberry is expected to be appointed internal revenue collector with the nomination sent to the president. Capt.
