Jury verdicts split ten to two in Regquittal case

Spartanburg reports a jury stood ten for acquittal and two for conviction in a criminal trial. Chief of Police A L Dillard, aiming to capture J W Ramay, a white convict from Georgia, arrived one day late to nab the fugitive at Whitney mills. Ramay had been sent to the Georgia penitentiary for murder from Rabun County.

Allan Mason Released After Murder Hearing

Allan G. Mason of Cambridge mass is discharged from custody after a morning hearing in the Clara A Morton case. O L Perry the man who confessed pawning Morton's watch but implicated Mason was arrested on a new charge and held until November 18.

Revolutionary rolls found at State Capitol yesterday

Record Clerk McCown uncovered the rolls of sailors and soldiers from France who served on the old frigate South Carolina under Commodore Gillon along the Carolina coast. The complete rolls and the prize money and pay due to each man were found, with native and French names. The State notes the discovery in its report for the twelfth inst. EK Grove advertisement appears at the end offering laxative quinine tablets with refunds if not cured.

Acquittal in Murder Trial Ends Molineux Case

Roland B. Molineux was acquitted after a four week trial in New York Local spectators greeted the verdict with restrained applause as the jurors found him not guilty of the murder of Mrs Katharine J Adams The defendant showed no emotion while his elderly father General Molineux appeared deeply moved by the decision and congratulations from supporters flowed in after the verdict
