Laurens dispatch reports Deputy Sheriff John D Owings left for Columbia to obtain papers to return William Bryson from Knoxville Tenn to Laurens. Bryson is wanted for the murder of Watts four to five years ago in Cross Hill township. Ella Williams a Negro woman was stabbed to death near Timmonaville by Ira Woods a Negro man in jealousy tied to a dispute with no witnesses. Sullivan shortage $1810 disclosed as ex Dispenser Sullivan’s bondsman and the board of control review books and deposits also.

Mrs J C Dickerson of Cordova Alabama died after a midnight assault in which a unnamed black man battered her and her husband with a hatchet and gun. Mrs Dickerson, who identified the assailant before dying, described the intruder as the man who left bloody finger prints on her shirt.

Nineteen Drowned In The Hudson River Glens Falls NY

Outlaw Charles Jeffcoat Dies in Deputies Shootout
