The Rock Hill district conference met here Wednesday night with Rev T E Mor of Chester delivering opening sermon. Presiding Elder Bays chaired the Thursday business session. Rev S B Harper elected secretary. Bishop Duncan presided during the afternoon session. reports from pastors on charges were heard and Prof A Mason DuPre spoke for Wofford College. Dr W W Daniel of Columbia Female College addressed China education. Bishop Duncan preached a forceful sermon at 11 o'clock. The conference continued into the afternoon.

County Supervisor W Q Caskey announces the letting for Haile Mine bridge to the lowest responsible bidder on Toesday July 16 at 10 pm and Flat Creek bridge near Pitans on the same day at an unspecified time. Bids and specifications will be available at the letting. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
Mrs S A Weber secretary reports Rock Hill District Conference society count at 26 with total membership 402. Dues and special work contributions for the year ending last March totaled 515.22 dollars.
