Jim Mays Lynched by Mob in Kentucky

A mob in Springfield Kentucky seized Jim Mays from jail and hanged him in the high school yard after demanding the jail keys. The assault charge concerns Lula Jeans, daughter of prominent farmer Jos Jeans near Simmatown. The body was found at daybreak and an inquest held. no mob members are identified.
