Deadly freight wreck near Ridge Loop level failed
A fast freight train on the L&N line jumped a trestle between Ridge Loop and Bakers, plunging 180 feet into a valley. Three men were killed Engineer Fitzgerald Brakeman Walter Anderson Brakeman John Eckridge and Conductor Meehan was badly injured. The wreck left a mass of debris and stalled travel in the area near Nashville Tennessee.
