Dec 21. As a result of a rear end collision between the Stockton flyer and the Owl train on the Southern Pacific at Bryan last night 16 deaths already have been recorded and there are fears the total will reach 20. Most wounded were taken to the Southern Pacific hospital in San Francisco. On the way five victims died. Twenty two were at the hospital with R W Post of Fowler Cal and Lou a Chinese man of San Francisco likely to die. Only three visitors were allowed due to severity.
