Alvord Arizona December 15 Three white men attempted to rob the First National Bank of Alvord. John McFall was shot through the head and died. Wranle Martin was killed while fleeing. Claude Golden surrendered to Constable Dobbs. Deputy Yeary and Prior fired on the trio after the botched raid.
A letter from Homer Hall of West Point Ja praises Dr King’s New Discovery for Consumption. He suffered a severe cold with obstinate cough and suspected consumption. After using the remedy he was cured and gained weight to 227 pounds. The advertisement ends with a purchase offer and price details.

A young white man named Covar from Chester died yesterday morning in the state penitentiary hospital. The coroner’s jury ruled death due to natural causes after Dy autopsy by Dr. Nowlton. Covar, 22, was imprisoned for theft. his father arrived to claim the body. The incident occurred at the prison hospital.
In Philadelphia on December 15 the roof and supports of the round house at the Pennsylvania Railroad yards collapsed, burying more than twenty workers and 31 locomotives. A fire followed but was put out quickly. Several injuries included broken limbs. no deaths reported. The wooden slate roof, supported by iron uprights, likely failed under heavy snow and ice. Seventeen locomotives suffered heavy damage.

New Orleans December 16 General George Moorman aged 61 adjutant general of the United Confederate Veterans died suddenly tonight. He served on the staff of General N B Forrest and other Confederate leaders during the war and commanded Moorman's cavalry battalion. He had been adjutant general of the United Confederate Veterans since its organization. He expired while at his best in his New Orleans office.
