The first annual Conejos county Sunday School convention was held at the M. E. church with a Saturday praise service led by Rev. J. C. Carman and an address on The Superiority of Friendship. Delegations from Bowen Waverly Romeo and Antonito attended.

Knowledge bearing John Reed leads Manassa Academy boys in selected lineup including John Brady Marshal Biddinger Melvin Nielson and George Spriestersbach with freshmen to begin term. Girls basketball games against first years show improving skill as Byron Beck voting quip noted. President Joseph A McCrae visited the school praising students and faculty.

Last week students noted Mrs. Newcomb with a sprained wrist. Mr Newcomb’s accident drew sympathy from school children. Nielson visited Tuesday and praised the school. Vacation was missed despite expectations. Few pupils were absent. more expected next week. Bessie Farris was ill. Prof French and Rev Richards of Alamosa visited Tuesday.

The Japanese Wedding Entertainment at Woodmen Event
