Farmers Receive Notice Over Economy Separator Infringement
In Ida Grove Iowa a group of sixty to seventy farmers received a United States circuit court of appeals notice that the Economy separator sold by Sears Roebuck Co. is infringing patents. They were told to stop using the device and to liquidate and sell their units. The court barred further production and sale and required disclosure of recent sales. The item notes related claims by Vermont Farm Machine Co. and Empire Cream Separator Co. plus a broader column on the National Corn Exposition returning to Omaha with Colorado exhibitors and a push for statewide support. It also mentions a Pueblo Chieftain society note about Miss Virginia I Brown and Luther A Norland engagement in La Jara Colorado.
