Fred Chapin returned Saturday from a camping trip in the Salt Creek mountains north of Kemmerer where the camp was at Greys river head. He has a bear story about a trap in a nearby camp. The vicinity has few game but camp members enjoy fresh meat and a cow was credited. Sheep overrun the area have curbed game, but the party plans to stay until game returns. Ben Welch trapped a large silver tip bear nearby. Fred rode out with H. O’Keefe while others staying at camp included John Mischler Jack O’Brien and Fred Cook.
