Mr D P Daugherty of Mercer and Sumner counties West Virginia faced a life threatening illness when two physicians offered little help. A neighbor administered Chamberlains Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy, and he recovered within twenty four hours. The notice notes the medicine is for sale by all dealers.

A man struck by a blow on the head died from injuries as witnesses describe the struggle. The assailant fled but returned to surrender. he was taken into custody and later bonded at one hundred dollars but could not make the amount and was jailed by Deputy Sheriff McDermaid.

Mrs John Ward and Mrs Burns of Cumberland guest at Mr and Mrs James Smith. Edward Harris the electrician learns his youngest child is seriously ill, heads to Henifer Utah. Loretta Quealy postmistress has been ill but is nearly recovered. Mr and Mrs Heits and child from Salt Lake City visit James Smiths. Mr Heitz runs Kemmerer Coal Co office in Salt Lake City.
