New Highways in Jackson County Survey Underway
A group of State Highway Engineer surveyors plans a new road from Snake River bridge to the canyon and another from the bridge through Otho Williams ranch toward the My ranch area. The project would share costs among state county and federal governments. A second survey aims to reroute from Wil son to Moray to meet existing lines. Work is expected to start on the Jackson-Wilson road next spring if Uncle Sam provides funds, with wartime appropriations possibly delayed until after the conflict.
