Mr Dooley on Printing and the Hammer of History
From time immemorial, type founders argued origins of printing. Mr Dooley offers a concise view: humans wrote on rock, then painted on akias, then publishers and printers emerged as ink and paper were used to convey words. Ganpowder’s invention is linked as a rival force shaping civilization.

The Coal Resources of Wyoming in 1910 Survey
The United States Geological Survey estimates Wyoming holds the largest coal ground in the nation after North Dakota, with about 60 percent of the state under coal bearing formations. Powder River field dominates, extending from North Platte River to the Montana line, part of the Fort Union region, covering around 14 000 square miles. Wyoming produces mainly bituminous and subbituminous coal, with over half from the Kimberley district and the Tens Springs field in Sweetwater County. The survey credits Wyoming with substantial original coal reserves, surpassing North Dakota, while North Dakota coal is mostly lignitic. Estimated reserves and past production up to 1910 show Wyoming as a leading supplier in the Rocky Mountain region with significant long-term potential.
