Marbleton State Bank Robbery Reported In Kemmerer
Early this week reports from Kemmerer said the Marbleton State Bank in Marbleton was robbed Sunday night with a loss of 217 in currency and several value papers. Entry was by breaking the front door. the safe door withstood the breach. Few dollars and some liberty bonds were found missing. No suspects have been secured and timing is unclear. This is Lincoln county’s first bank robbery in some time amid a rise of similar acts in several states. State officials later noted the loss under 500 and investigators, including County Attorney Christmas and Officer Roach, were on the case.
