Kemmerer High marks 20 year sleep graduation night
The Kemmerer High School graduation class celebrated with a two act farce in the large assembly room last Friday. Act one featured a lawn party at Ethel McKay’s home and a spoof announcement by Willam Richmond about inventing Rip Van Winkie water that would induce twenty years of sleep. Bryan Sammon drinks the water, puis twenty years later he wakes to find old classmates as the party continues, with costumes updated to 1936. The exercises closed with a Life to a constant struggle against death, enjoyed by all.
