20 Year Sleep Graduation Farce at Kemmerer High
Kemmerer High School marked graduation night with a two act farce in the large assembly room. The first act staged a lawn party at Ethel McKay’s home featuring songs and recitations. Willam Richmond announces a invention Rip Van Winkie water that brings sleep for twenty years. Bryan Sammon drinks the water, waking twenty years later to see classmates now in the party. The second act repeats the scene with changed costumes reflecting 1936 fashion. The program closed with a Life to a constant struggle against death.
