R Clark Jr of Cora passed a civil service exam in October at Pinedale and will report for duties June 1 near En campment, Wyoming. He is one of four successful examinees out of a long list, with a salary of 1200 dollars per year. J Williams Jr of Elkhorn also passed the exam at Pinedale.

Mr and Mrs D H Scott drove from their Green River ranch at the mouth of Beaver to meet their daughter Josephine who has been at Hermiston Oregon for school. Over the past winter Scott and neighbor C A Cox built a bridge over the Green River between their ranches a 30 foot ice shanty and it was the third bridge in the area Scott visited with the Kemmerer Masons Friday evening accompanied in an auto by Mrs Bob Martin

The Cumberland School District meeting at No One School House Lincoln County Wyoming May 1 1916 was called to order by J M Faddies chairman. The secretary reported the district financial standing which was read approved and unanimously accepted. A special tax levy was discussed but since funds were ample none was imposed. Nominations for trustees named Paul Kukoy for three years and W W Williams for one year with unanimous ballots cast in their favor. Meeting adjourned.
