The Republican County Central Committee of Unita County met in Evans ton yesterday and elected fifteen delegates to attend the State convention in Cheyenne next Monday. They praised Mondell Warren and Clark, endorsed Warren and Mondell for re election, and supported the national administration but left delegates uninstructed regarding a presidential candidate.

School Meeting At High School Elects Director and Taxes
The annual school meeting in the High school building Monday night was well attended. R. M. Turner was re elected director for a three year term without opposition. A 5 mill tax for school purposes was levied unanimously. An exhibit of school work drew hundreds of spectators with parents patrons and Diamondville visitors viewing displays.

Good Roads Convention Sets Western Interstate Talks in Logan
The third annual Inter-Mountain Good Roads Association meeting will be held in Logan Utah June 12 to 14 with attendees from Idaho Wyoming Utah and Colorado. Oregon Short Line offers two cent per mile rates and discussions include national interstate highways state laws motor vehicle rules and road maintenance. Delegates include governors county commissioners mayors auto clubs chambers of commerce and development groups from each state.

Bishop Thomas Opens Kemmerer Episcopal Church Groundbreaking
Bishop Thomas of Cheyenne attended the Kemmerer service last Sunday delivering the principal address and turning the first shovel of earth. Eight persons were confirmed in morning rites. Short addresses were given by Rev. Pearson and Mayor Pfeiffer. A mass Republican meeting to organize in Lincoln county is planned, urging all Republicans to attend.

Margaret Vous Downey daughter of Mr and Mrs William Downey of this city and Jas 8 Orr of Pocatello were married Thursday evening at the Congregational patronage in Salt Lake City with Rev P A Simpkins officiating. The bride has served as deputy county clerk in Pocatello and the groom works in the Short Line general office. They plan a Pacific coast tour before settling back in Pocatello around June 1.

Married in quiet city ceremony near Mon Monday
A quiet wedding was solemnized last Monday evening at the home of Mrs E W Smith. Dan Smith of Salt Lake and Miss Wallace of Boise became man and wife with Rew Eans of the L D S church officiating. The groom is a traveling auditor for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph and the bride a trained nurse of Boise. Some friends say they rode to Green River Sunday night to secure a license early Monday, and were seen tempting the janitor to admit them before opening time. They now receive hearty congratulations from many friends.

Over the past three years the interior department via the geological survey classifies and appraises coal lands in public land states.
