Bad Check Artist Nabbed by Sheriff

Last Tuesday a stranger named Hamilton appeared in Mamondville claiming government agent status. He searched a premise, failed to show credentials, and led Sheriff McMinn on chase across Diamondville. He tried to arrest Holmberg from Salt Lake City, was arrested, and found with forged notes and cash. He pled guilty to forgery and was bound over for the next term of the district court.

George H B Melvin of Oshkosh Nebraska visited Kemmerer last week as a representative of Nebraska stockholders in the Wyoming Geyser company He toured the plant area collected samples and returned home to report on prospects inviting further Nebraska investment and possible additional visitors to inspect the field.

Cretaceous Well to Be Shot Early in April

Charles Lackey reports the Cretaceous well in the Dry Piney field will be shot in early April after current drilling finishes. The project, run by Lackey Drilling & Development, aims to establish Dry Piney as a leading Lincoln county field with strong gas presence and productive potential. Lackey and A F Stumpf will visit St Piney and northern oil fields to plan further development, with drilling to begin on Lackey holdings once road coalitions permit.

Fire at Tincoln Bar Traced to Early Monday Alarm

An alarm at about 10 o'clock Monday morning reported a fire at the Tincoln bar a frame structure across from the First National Bank. The damage was trivial and the fire department arrived with a stream of water within three minutes of the alarm.
