Despite strong winds a large crowd from Kew and nearby towns attended Decoration Day. A 20 piece band led a procession followed by 100 plus school children and many ladies with flowers. Flowers were laid on every grave as distribution continued until all mounds appeared like a bed of flowers. The event left attendees happy and grateful for the observance.
