Big Brand Iron dinner satirizes officials in Denver
Readable excerpts describe the Brand Iron dinner at the Albany hotel during the National Western Stock Show. Officials including Governor Ammons and city leaders are lampooned in a lively satire scene titled A Suggestion with a mock message from President Wilson and a comic dash for the throne of Mexico. The revue blends humor with social commentary on public offices, taxes, and regional politics, ending in a festive, delirious tone.
