Water Division No 4 report shows 1915 drought and 1916 improvements
Robert E Carron reports to Hon James B True on Water Division No 4 in Wyoming. The 1915 irrigation season was among the driest in twenty years with early spring melt and streams quickly dropping, causing August shortages and a temporary halt to supplying the Union Pacific Railroad engines. By September relief lasted three days. In 1916 conditions improved though headgates caused disputes. many districts require water commissioners full season. Discusses lack of law for travel expenses, new headgates, a large seepage-water project by Peton and Bodine near Evanston, and proofs and certificates processed by the division. Carron commends cooperation from water users and Board of Control. signed Robert E. Carron, Superintendent.
