Southern Entrance and Park Plans for Yellowstone
The Interior Department plans a southern gateway to Yellowstone through Lincoln County to boost auto tourism. The 1919 season saw 3,455 cars with 14,980 visitors. new roads and concessions could extend stays. Stagecoaches gave way to motor transport as civilian rangers man the park.
