Pleads Not Guilty in False Pretense Charge

F B Brooks confined in the local jail on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses was arraigned before Justice Holland Tuesday and pleaded not guilty. A preliminary hearing is set for the 17th. Attorney Melvin represents the defendant. Brooks obtained $25 from Mischler Brothers in a legal manner.
