The item mentions escape from oppression and the founding of freedom, with religious devotion noted alongside later local updates about work on the Jackson Point project, coal purchases, and community notices.
Several residents near Fossil announce home construction and moves within six weeks. Fred Rawlings builds on his homestead south of Fossil, Ralph Souless moves a four room house from Rock Creek to his homestead, Mrs A S Hubble and Mrs Laura Hanks plan modern four to five room houses, and others arrange sheds and ranch improvements. Local notes mention log sawing, sheep pens, barn moves, field house expansion, and seasonal chores.

A Western man tops cattle sale records with steers at 16.00 for F M Heinrich of Montana and Aft Sievenson of Montana, a yearling at 12.26 for Miles McNeish of Buffalo, Roy Benton’s two year old steers from By Horn at 18.00, Heinrich Montana herd at 19.00, and a load from Chas Pelerson of Rapid City SD at 14.00 per owt.
