Douglas reports heavy work on the State Fair grounds for the September 20 opening. A new exhibition building nears completion, repairs to the old hall proceed, a four inch water main is in place, ten automatic fire extinguishers arrive, and new tags plus poles brighten the grounds. Local merchants have space reserved, livestock sales for days two and three attract many entries including registered cattle horses and steers, with juries assembled to ensure quality stock for Wyoming herds.
