Mrs G W Fairchild received word on Thursday of the death of her eldest son Walter Tischborne aged about 81 in Montgomery Alabama on August 14 after a period of ill health He was brother to Frank Tischborne and leaves a wife and a year old daughter The funeral occurred in Montgomery as relatives could not reach in time
Frontier Local No 2300 United Mine Workers of America organizes a grand Labor Day event in Kemmerer with parades races and games. Children receive candy fruit popcorn lemonade and 1500 sacks while $810 silver is awarded. A Frontier versus Cumberland game and evening entertainment are scheduled with free admission.

Projects include new ranger cabins, enclosed pastures, trail work, improved roads, and phone lines linking Cokeville Afton, Snyder’s Basin, Big Piney, Merna, and Pinedale. Patrols remain steady to prevent grizzly damage. overall game conditions are excellent after a mild open winter.
