Lincoln County Fair in Afton Wyoming runs September 26 to 28. Prepare exhibits by selecting top grain heads potato hills and garden truck. Obtain rules and premium lists from the fair secretary and label exhibits with name address variety and class for judging.
Instructions from Earl G. Reed, Lincoln County Agricultural Agent, on selecting threshed grains and forage crops for exhibition. Emphasizes true variety, uniformity in size and color, free from disease, and proper preparation and labeling. Advises selecting at peak ripeness, cleaning grain, neatly packing into sacks, and timely delivery to the exhibition site.
A letter from P. L. Corbin, YMCA secretary at Fort Russell Wyoming, seeks public support for supplies and services for enlisted men. Requests include books, records, free movie programs, transportation, and educational materials. Also notes local officials, ministers, and newspapers could help centralize shipments and reading rooms for morale and education.
A distorted poem mocks the Kaiser and Crown Prince predicting bold conquest and a quick strike on Paris. It envisions smashing French forces, humiliating Britain, and seizing ships to force a capitulation while Belgium stands as a target.
