Kadoka Opens New Opera House With Clifton Remedy

Kadoka announces the new opera house opened Monday night under manager J V Driver with the Clifton Remedy Company as the initial act. Six nights of first class entertainment featured musical numbers, comedy sketches, illustrated songs, and moving pictures. Plans include a $150 drop curtain with local business ads and upcoming attractions for the winter season.

Court Ends Harvey Rooks Stab Case With Verdict For Plaintiff

Circuit Court concluded Friday with Judge Boucher directing a verdict for Christine Rooks Stab, damages $580 for levy on her husband debt. Jury list included E L Brown and others. In Callan vs Sether, court instructed six tons hay price to $1, prompting jury disapproval and potential appeal to the supreme court. Jurors from the west end left on Saturday night. October term of Stanley County Court 1909 seen as record breaking aside from Tom Barns case.

Rohan Bros Sell Kadoka Livery to Shook and Clark

Kadoka pioneer firm Rohan Brothers disposed of their entire livery and blacksmith business to A. A. Shook of Belvidere and J. P. Clark, who will move in and operate an up to date barn with Herman Dithmer overseeing the blacksmith shop. Clark to relocate family. Shook to divide time between Kadoka and Belvidere.

Elliott Declines Milwaukee Railroad Post in Dakota News

Tyndall attorney James D. Elliott has rejected reports he would take the Milwaukee Railroad general attorney post for North and South Dakota with Aberdeen headquarters. He will remain in Tyndall with his law practice and local interests, avoiding a move or public office run.
