Clyde Pruden and his wife were forced from their home at gunpoint in a bold hold up. The Stanley County Normal Institute will be held at Fort Pierre from August 3 to 14.
Notice announces a July 27, 1908 special meeting at Kadoka schoolhouse in Stanley County South Dakota to vote on incorporating Kakoka as a corporation for school purposes into an Independent School District. Dated July 15 1908 by Mrs M L Weed County Supt Stanley County SD.
Clyde Pruden and his wife were forced to leave their home by Ole Persvick and a neighbor who, at gunpoint, demanded all provisions on hand. Pruden escorted Persvick to Chamberlain on a dispute, offered payment, and Persvick insisted on three days of work. no arrest action has been taken yet.

A long standing conflict over a hay quarter near Flat Top Butte led to a shooting incident last Friday. Hugh Wiley and C H Nolting claimed the lease, tension escalated when Wiley and helpers confronted Nolting’s party. Nolting fired, Wiley retaliated with a pitchfork. Wiley filed for arrest, Nolting delayed by medical care. hearing set for Saturday.
