Mrs Catherine McElory born in Down County Ireland in 1841 died August 9 1908 at age 67 after a lingering illness. She married Edgar F Hughes in 1872 and lived in Bon Homme County before moving here about a year ago. Survived by five children and several relatives. funeral at home conducted by Rev Thomas J McNabee and others. interred Kadoka cemetery.

Fatal Interior train accident claims local homesteader
Henry Fratkze of Conota was fatally struck by an eastbound passenger train near Interior. He was dragged several rods before discovery and died Saturday in Chamberlain after medical aid arrived. He leaves a wife and three children. The railroad company declined responsibility.
