Almost Grave Grade Crossing Accident
George H. Munroe and Chicago businessman Mr. Dixon escaped a fatal grade crossing incident on the Collins Street crossing of the Elgin Joliet and Eastern railroad. Fatal Machinery Accident In Gardner Plant
Richard Leach a colored worker at a Gardner plant was fatally injured when his head became caught in a 46 HP oil engine. The machine had been troublesome and stopped for repairs before he was dragged into the gears. Fellow workers stopped the engine and freed him, but he died en route to St Joseph's Hospital.
