Excavation for the concrete walls of the Michigan Central is pushed east of Union Street. It is believed the first concrete can be laid before week’s end. The initial carload of cement was shipped from Chicago on May 27.

Anderson Faces Court for the Second Time
Frank Anderson, charged with stealing a horse and buggy owned by James Boyd, a former highway commissioner, goes to trial in the circuit court before Judge Marshall. A prior trial ended in a hung jury after lengthy deliberations. Anderson claims he was a fall guy for William Cole. The case involves a rig taken April 1 from L. A. Raub & Co. and driven to Mendota.
