Elizabeth Harvey Stewart 74 died at her Wheatland home after brief illness. She came from Ayrshire to America about 65 years ago and married Thomas Stewart. Survived by husband’s death year, three sons Thomas James Pritchard, three daughters Mrs John B Clow Jane and Sarah, two brothers Alexander and Robert Harvey, sister Mrs Andrew Ferguson. Funeral set for tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Detective Hennessy arrested Mrs Jennie Barber of Aurora as she alighted from an interurban car this morning. She had reportedly run away from her husband leaving an eighteen month old baby. She was taken into custody after a telephone message from Aurora and will be held at the station until her husband arrives.
L. R. Feagans of Joliet was elected to the Rockford Life Insurance Club board of directors. The new organization carries a capitalization of one million dollars. Feagans is the sole Joliet representative.
A. W. Flexer chairman of the county board was cut about the head and shoulders in a train wreck. Mayor Cronin escaped unharmed.
Chairman A. W. Flexer and Mayor John R. Cronin of the county board were in a train wreck near Allentown Pennsylvania at noon today. Flexer suffered minor head and shoulder injuries while Cronin escaped uninjured. Mrs. Flexer was notified by telegraph. No further details available.
A commission appointed by the speaker last spring begins work on revising prison laws. The group outlines numerous changes across different lines of enforcement and procedure.

Wm. Kasonowich was arrested by Special Officer Gorey of the Illinois Steel Co. on a complaint by D. P. Goodger in charge of the west gate. He was arraigned before Police Magistrate Allen and fined 10 dollars plus 5 dollars and costs totaling 19.50. Goodger says Kasonowich loitered near the railroad gate and struck him with a fist, causing several cuts.
Rev Robert Lee Petit once jailed for a bogus check in Lockport says he will resume gospel work but not for the Beulah home on Clark Street. Officials disclose Petit will not be kept due to prior troubles and a three year association with the institution followed a recommendation from the Volues of America.
