Fatal Rock Island crossing accident claims flagman
Patrick Dillon, 70, Rock Island flagman, was fatally injured at the Jefferson street crossing as the 10:35 Rock Island passenger train hit him while he gestured to halt the funeral procession. He died at St Joseph's hospital shortly before 2 o'clock after multiple severe injuries including head wounds and a dislocated shoulder.

They left two weeks ago at 11 am boarding the Joliet & Southern line and traveled to Joliet then Chicago. Hartong plans to hire a detective and seeks police cooperation in the search.
