Nebraska physicians and pharmacists noted in labor survey
Labor Commissioner Watson Kag released Nebraska medical statistics. In July 1900 there were 1,434 physicians, including 955 allopathic graduates, 119 biomeopathists, 100 eclectics, and 7 osteopaths. Registered pharmacists reached 1,465 with 50 licenses granted in 1900. Ex-state treasurer Joseph Bartley received a 20 year sentence for embezzlement but was paroled after serving four years and a month amid questions surrounding the parole.
