Isaac Rempel Wedding At Paxton Nebraska
A wedding occurred Thursday afternoon November 3 at the Paxton church uniting Henry C. Rempel of Jansen and Caroline Isaac. Rev. Wiens of Henderson officiated with Rev. Bergthold giving a talk. Afterward 160 guests enjoyed an elaborate supper at the bride’s home. The couple’s attire featured a blue silk dress with bead trim and a dark blue suit. The reception tents provided ample space and songs in English and a performance by the deaf Mr. and Mrs. Wall entertained.

Rempel Boy Remains Very Sick After Abdominal Abscess
The Rempel boy was severely ill with an abdominal abscess likely from a diseased appendix. Doctors made an incision in the abdomen and drained considerable pus. He showed slight improvement but remains a very sick child with an uncertain outcome.
Roll Call backed by American Legion at Kansas City convention
The American Legion pledged staunch support for the Red Cross Roll Call and resolutions endorsing enrollment and mobilizing service men were unanimously passed on November 2. Reports to Central Division Headquarters in Chicago showed increased Red Cross activity vs last year. Endicott will gain electric light from a transmission line from the Fairchild plant near Fairbury. Otto Spielman received a letter from a German sister about a man who left in 1902 to marry there but returned later.
